A Promise Reminder: Isaiah 41:8-10
The first two quarters of this year have left a lot to be desired. And seemingly the coming days offer seemingly little if any hope at all especially if you base your authority upon popular reports and opinions.
This time of Pandemic has revealed many things about who we are and where we are.
A couple of appropriate responses should be:one to asses our relationship with Christ and to utilize the resources of His Word Prayer and Meditation. Then this time should afford us an opportunity to demonstrate and stand upon our faith.
Isaiah here prophesies about the coming and work of Jesus Christ, The Messiah which had not been revealed. But once captivity has been completed, God will reveal “A New Revelation”
God gives us a threefold promise to help us handle our current worldly situation:
Fear not for “God is with us” Emmanuel in our moments of fear anxiety depression and desolation remember that Christ is with us. And if He be for us who or what can be against us.
Next he says Christ will strengthen and help us. Each day of this Pandemic should remind us in the words of Erica Campbell:”All I Need Is A Little More Jesus” Each Day affords deeper reflection upon His Word. A Deeper experience of prayer and communion. This time should bring us in closer relationship to The Lord and His Word reminding us that we’re His people and He promised to never leave nor forsake us.
Finally in the b part of the verse God promises to uphold us with His righteous right hand. His Word, His Son attest of His character. God will uphold us based upon the truth of His Character. God is not a man He cannot lie. His Word will be exalted among the heathen and He will keep His Word to those who have trusted in Him. He will uphold us because in Him, there is power.
